Women to sue over non approved IUDs
July 1, 2010
Attorney Ronald Resmini filed the class action lawsuit yesterday in Superior Court. He is representing over a dozen women who say they received the non FDA approved devices.
One of them is Carmen Pecoraro of Providence, who says she had her IUD for only a month. She had the birth control device removed last Wednesday as soon as she heard her doctors at OB-GYN Associates had admitted to using the illegal devices.
Pecoraro says she’s not a 100% sure her IUD is one of the non approved birth control devices. OB-GYN Associates had 10 days to notify affected patients.
