Boil Water Advisory for South Kingstown and Narragansett

July 6, 2010

It looks like the holiday weekend was a little too much for some of the water systems in South County.

Water pressure levels have reached an unacceptable level, leaving the systems vulnerable to bacterial contamination.  The RI Health Department hasn’t received test results from the water yet, but it’s issuing a precautionary boil water advisory because contamination is so likely.

The RI Health Department hopes to have residents back to using tap water by the end of the week.  In the meantime, people can help bring the water pressure levels back to normal by conserving water.
