Women & Infants responds to departure of chief of medicine
Women and Infants originally planned to set up an interview with me to discuss the departure of its chief of medicine, Dr. Karen Rosene-Montella, to work for Lifespan. Instead, it offered this statement.
Women & Infants Hospital regrets the imminent departure of Dr. Karen Rosene Montella as she accepts a new position at Lifespan. Through Dr. Rosene Montella’s leadership, Women & Infants Hospital has been able to attract superb physicians and clinical staff and build some of the finest health services available to women anywhere. We are proud of these services and remain fully committed to their ongoing growth and development.
Dr. Rosene Montella’s office tells me she is not available to comment on her departure. As for whether more doctors are leaving with her and if so how many, Amy Blustein with Women and Infants says “I haven’t heard that.”
