Another delay for Landmark
Landmark Medical Center‘s Special Master was supposed to name his choice for the hospital’s new owner on Friday. But plans have changed once again.
Instead of recommending a buyer, Jonathan Savage will be asking Judge Michael Silverstein for advice on how much information to reveal about the potential bidders. The judge will review that request, not Savage’s choice for a new owner, during a public hearing next Wednesday.
When the judge will make a decision, allowing the Special Master to recommend a buyer, is anybody’s guess.
On Wednesday, Landmark received five bids for the medical center, but the hospital’s spokesman won’t reveal who the bidders are or where they’re from. If the pattern holds, they’re all from Tennessee.
