Wrapping up month of Kev
January 30, 2012
It’s almost the end of January and that means it’s almost the end of the month of Kev– a plan to set health resolutions for just 31 days. My goal was to swim or run five days a week and give up alcohol.
Kev, the inventor of Month of Kev, had a longer list of healthy habits including no booze, running every other day, and smoothies for breakfast and lunch. We’ll hear from him as well as his partner in crime, Nikki. But what about you? Did you take on the month of Kev challenge? How did it go?
I’ll write up everyone’s final thoughts on the blog tomorrow.

So here’s my status report:
I ran twice (not twice a week).
I did my exercise routine *almost* every morning – missed 4 days. Many mornings it was Kev that motivated me
Never ate a Starbucks lemon pound cake, stayed away from outside baked goods (went to a Seven Stars and only ordered coffee – that’s something).
Took the dog on one to two-hour walks every weekend (with a little help from this warm winter).
And …
… I’ve decided to keep Kev around for February to see if I can build on what we started in January.
Thanks Cat! Did you notice any difference in how you felt or looked following all of this exercise/skipping lemon pound cake? Do you think it was a worthwhile experiment?
